Our quilt project is designed with the novice quilter in mind. Our variation on the rail fence covers all the elements of a larger quilt without overwhelming a new quilter. Our quilt top measures approximately 35” X 35” with a finished size of approximately 45” X 45” after adding sashing, borders, and binding. This size makes an ideal wall hanging or table topper. The workshop spans over 3 consecutive Thursday evenings and will require homework in between each class. Our fee is $175.00 and includes HST. and equipment. You may bring your own sewing machine or reserve one of our machines. If you’ve always wanted to try quilting but didn’t want to invest in tools, equipment, etc., this workshop is for you. Fabric requirements: 35 centimeters each of 3 coordinating quilting cotton fabrics, a light, a mid-tone, and a dark. 25 cm sashing fabric, 40 cm border fabric, 1m backing fabric, 1 1/ 4 meters of quilt batting, and two spools of matching thread.
