Beginner/Refresher Quilting with Deb Dunlop
Our quilt project is designed with the novice quilter in mind. Our variation on the rail fence covers all the elements of a larger quilt without overwhelming a new quilter. Our quilt top measures approximately 35"X 35" with a finished size of approximately 45"X 45" after adding sashing, borders and binding. This size makes an ideal wall hanging or table topper.
The workshop spans over 3 consecutive Thursday evenings and will require homework in between each class. You may bring your own sewing machine or reserve one of our machines. If you've always wanted to try quilting but didn't want to invest in tools, equipment etc. this workshop is for you. Fabric requirements 35 centimeter each, of 3 coordinating quilting cotton fabrics, a light, a mid-tone and a dark. 25 cm sashing fabric, 40 cm, border fabric 1m backing fabric., 1 1/4 meters of quilt batting and two spools of matching thread.
